Isn't that a bit vanilla? I'm not like suggesting an all species open orgy or anything but it's space... you're supposed to go out and mingle and stuff.
I love that show! Some of it's complete bullshit and lame. But some of it is totally real. You wouldn't believe the info videos they make you watch in certain courses at the EAA. I bet the nurses and doctors had to watch even more messed up ones.
